Originally from Sevierville, Tennessee, Josh Ramsey graduated from Sevier County High School as valedictorian of his class and was elected most likely to succeed. Josh’s interest in finance began with a high school business organization called DECA. As president of his DECA chapter, Josh competed in the Advertising Campaign competition and placed 1st at state competitions and in the top 10% at the international competitions. At the age of 15, Josh began working and contributing to his retirement account. Since, he has studied investments both in and out of the classroom.
After high school, Josh attended Maryville College to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Accounting, cum laude. He completed his degree in three years. While at Maryville College, Josh was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity, of which he was treasurer for two years. Additionally, he served as an academic mentor, a role in which he tutored his peers, and the Student Government Association. Josh’s rigorous coursework in finance, accounting, and statistics has prepared him well for a future in the financial services industry.
In August 2017, Josh will attend Vanderbilt University to obtain a Master of Accountancy.
